Hat-Trick of Titles
beckons for Duffield
The first PSL Fixture is at home on Tuesday 9 October versus newcomers
Energie Fitness Redditch spearheaded by former Duffield players Renan
Lavigne and Jon Kemp
Please find below the PSL Fixture List for 2007/8. As usual avoiding
all PSA/WISPA clashes is impossible but I think England Squash Events
supremo Chris Nutley has produced a fair balance and a reasonable
spread of dates. The Semi Final + Final dates are provision at this
stage as ES will try to ensure that all top players are free from PSA
/ WISPA commitments for these fixtures.
Benz Bavarian Duffield will be embarking on their 14th PSL (formerly
NL) campaign hoping to win a record hat trick of consecutive
championships. The squad for the coming season is a formidable one
with just two players missing from last season namely Jon Kemp (moved
to newcomers Redditch) and Lee Drew (retired).
The nominated squad includes 4 local players namely Paul Hargrave and
Kevin White (founder members of the team back in 1993-94), Laura Hill
(Eng 7 despite being a full time fire fighter) and rising star Millie
Tomlinson (England Junior international and aged just 15).
Nick Matthew World 8 Eng 2
Stewart Boswell World 12 Australia No 3
Andy Whipp Eng 16
Alex Stait Eng 17
Nick Taylor Eng 21
Laurence Delasaux Eng 28
Peter Billson Eng 29
Shaun Le Roux Eng 31 Welsh Open winner 2007
Paul Hargrave Former Eng No 12
Kevin White Eng O35 Captain
Tania Bailey World 4 Eng 1
Laura Hill Eng 7
Millie Tomlinson Eng U17 No2 U19 No 6
The Club will miss Jon Kemp who clinched the PSL title last season but
the signing of Stewart Boswell (former world No 5) will give Nick
Matthew the best possible back up at the top of the order. Player of
the 2006-07 season Andy Whipp and Laurence Delasaux will have support
from other new signings Alex Stait, Nick Taylor, Peter Billson and
Shan Le Roux to ensure that Duffield has strength in depth and great
experienced cover all the way down the order.
Eng No 1 and World No 4, Tania Bailey will be hoping for a further
move up the world rankings in 2008 to possibly emulate the
achievements of former star player and world No1 and world champion
Cassie Jackman. Laura Hill will be playing more games on the WISPA
circuit in 2007-08 and young Millie Tomlinson will be hoping to get an
opportunity to make her debut at some stage during the season.
Season tickets (seat) cost £50 (seat) and £30 (standing) for 5 group
home games. Supporters are advised to reserve season tickets and to
book early with the “local derby” against Nottingham a certain full
house.
Team sponsor Felix Frixou has now acquires a 17 seater Mini Bus with
the team name and club badge prominently painted on the front and
which will transport supporters to Oxford (half day tour) and all
other away matches. The bus is available to hire (contact Felix on

Head UK Ltd in conjunction with
www.pdhsports.com will be supplying and sponsoring the new
kit which is expected to be predominantly white shirts with black
shorts.

sponsorship, board advertising, programme advertising, after match
meals and individual player sponsorship (please phone 01332 841564 if
